Operation: Love Lima

Operation: love lima

Spreading the Love

Every year at Converge students and volunteers work together to share the love of God with Lima and the surrounding community. The past three years we have partnered with local churches to hand out over 100,000 pounds of food to those in need.

As we look towards Converge 2017, we are preparing again to distribute food. We are grateful for the ministries and churches who have partnered with us as we unite together to reach the Lima are with the Love of Christ.

how you can help

BE A HOST CHURCH

We are looking for churches and ministries in the Lima area to be drop-sites where people can come and pick up food the day of Operation: Love Lima. This is a great opportunity for your church to be a light in your community and reach out to those in need. For more information on becoming a host church, contact Kristin Sutton.

JOIN THE FOOD DRIVE

Starting in February, we will begin collecting food to hand out as part of Operation: Love Lima. Non-perishable food can be dropped off at the Teens for Christ office at 1550 Elida Rd. or at any of the TFC local chapter meetings. We also are in need of financial donors to help cover the cost of food we distribute in conjunction with the West Ohio Food Bank.

HELP PACKAGE & DELIVER

We need volunteers to help sort and package food before Converge. We are also in need of people who would be willing to drive and lead the groups of students who are going out into the community. For more information on becoming a volunteer, check out our volunteer page.
